A Bit About the Journey

Now that we are settled in a bit, I was able to get our photos off of our digital camera and onto my computer! After leaving Sac on Sunday evening, August 12, we had the "adventure" of spending the night (midnight to 5:30 a.m.) in a cold, narrow entryway at LAX. I dozed on the ledge of a marble planter while Tim took the rougher spot on the floor of the airport!

The next day (Monday 8/13), we flew to Hawaii where we linked up with Jeff & Mary Johnson (Mary is head of English here at PIBC), Christel Churchill (teaching math this year) and Dave & Joyce Owen. What a joy to have a little time to visit before boarding the plane together!

The last shot to the right is our greeting committee! We were warmly welcomed by Brad & Cheryl Boydston, Laura Peters, Melissa Heck, Steve & Anne Stinnette, Hannelore & Harald Gorges, all missionaries/workers at PIBC. We'll be adding more photos and text weekly or more now, so check in again in a few days for more on the students and staff as we serve the Lord at PIBC.
