Summer in Review: Part 1

Because we did not have regular Internet access much of our summer, we have not updated our blog in quite awhile. Here is a quick glance back at what we did after we left southern California for northern California.

God blessed us in allowing us time with our oldest daughter in the Sacramento area - and she needed our time! Her husband was unexpectedly deployed to Iraq for four months and she had a business to move, a household to move to another home, and two active but wonderful children who needed lots of attention while she filled in her husband's shoes as best she could at their business.

Our girls had fun catching up on the "news" with us and each other and we had lots of great family time together. Between all of us living together and spending time worshiping, picnicking, working, playing tennis, kayaking, reading stories and just being together, we were blessed beyond measure. How good God is to have provided enough time in our summer for us to help our daughter and for us to be blessed in return with so many great memories of time with our family!

We were also blessed by the number of friends who graciously had us into their homes for food, fellowship and fun! If I were to download all the pictures I have from those times, I would have a blog entry that would go about ten feet down this page! Suffice it to say that those photos are echoes of the treasured memories we have of time with those who have blessed us with their hospitality and love. Thanks is insufficient to say what we have in our hearts. Here are a few photos (a very few from the many) that reflect those through whom God blessed us this summer: And if you will check back in just a few days, we hope to have a "part 2" for this entry that will get everyone caught up on what we have been doing! God bless! Melody and Tim
